The year is going by so fast, but I am so excited for the rest of 2023, 2024 and beyond! I’ve got some big goals that span multiple years and give me chills to think about. Because I know they’re going to stretch me and help me grow. I also know it’s not going to be all daisies and sunshine as I progress. But I’ve got a fire that just won’t be snuffed out, and the tools to create my dreams and love the process. I can teach you these tools too.

When we’re young we think that once we have the perfect home, or that beautiful car, or the relationship we desire that we’ll be able to relax and just coast through life. But it just doesn’t work that way. For one thing, the target is always changing either due to your own internal evolution, or because something external has happened and forced you to evolve or triggered your desire for something new. Your season in life (you loved being a parent with your kids home and now they’re gone and you’re an empty nester), or a life event (one of your kids married, or you became a grandparent, or you lost someone you love) are examples of our ever-evolving lives.

It’s great to look back on life and draw from your experiences and the lessons you’ve learned, and apply those as you move forward in life. But it’s so important to also be future-focused and look for ways to grow and reignite a passion for life that may have nothing to do with your past. It’s important to intentionally evolve your life.

We’re so interesting as humans in that we’re afraid of change, and yet we have such a strong desire for something new, something more, which requires change. This creates a conflict in our brains that doesn’t feel good, and because it’s easier to just stay the course, we do. Then because that doesn’t feel great, we use those soul suckers (the overeating, overdrinking or other ways we numb ourselves), so that we don’t notice we’re unhappy or dissatisfied. Unfortunately this also numbs the good feelings and leads to the overall dispassionate feeling of ‘meh’.

Ask yourself, What thoughts have I been ignoring, but my brain keeps presenting them to me, compelling me to either take action, or numb them away? Where do I want to grow and evolve, but I’ve been staying the course?

I want to help you reignite your passion for life and help you evolve intentionally to create a life you love.
